Situation:
The mandate of BJC's Center for Healthcare Quality and Effectiveness is to improve the quality of service through timely access to and assessment of critical performance data. The Center needed to reduce the turn-around-time of mailed-based client surveys and printed quarterly performance measurement reports.
Solution:
LiveWire delivered an online reporting system that provides real-time, easy-to-understand information about acute care environments to more than 600 BJC managers. The system ensures security with dual password protection and data encryption while processing 5000+ monthly control charts and 1000+ statistics. The new online system dramatically decreased data turn-around times (from 45 days after each quarter to 25 days after each month) and reduced costs in staffing and duplication. The flexible architecture of the application was structured to accommodate future needs.
