Situation:
LabCorp wanted to create the "Ultimate Employee Web Site." The concept was to provide a fully functional employee portal through which many daily self-service tasks could easily be handled.

Solution:
The result is an employee portal like no other that integrates a corporate portal with personalized employee information provided through self-service modules. Features such as a daily planner, a dynamic task list, context sensitive searching, 20-minute delayed stock quotes and other functional tools were incorporated to help employees better manage their workload. To increase a sense of community within LabCorp, features such as a "My Community" section, employee directories and local weather updates were included in the site.

Tabs along the top of the workspace guide the user through personalized employee information such as online pay stubs, benefits information, customized role-base (or permission-based) toolkits, and "Life Balance" modules (those relevant links and resources to better balance professional and personal lives within LabCorp). This solution not only empowers employees, but also is forecast to save LabCorp over $90,000 annually in printing and distribution costs alone.
