Situation:
Turner Construction Company, the largest construction firm in the United States, Mellon actuarial client, Turner entrusted Mellon and LiveWire with the task.

Solution:
Our team created a powerful online application which enables employees to review their retirement plan balances as they are updated quarterly, and make actual or hypothetical projections of their income at retirement. The application integrates a tool that helps employees determine whether they are effectively contributing the optimum amount to the 401(k) plan based on the company match and regulatory limits on maximum contributions. Through this site, they also can project retirement income, based either on actual personal information or on hypothetical "what if" assumptions. Personal information on the site is secured through password-protection.

Feedback from employees has been overwhelmingly positive. They commented that the site is easy to understand, use and navigate. One employee reported that the site directly inspired her to join the company's 401(k), because it clearly showed her what a big difference participation will make to her retirement income.
